Studio California's "Madeleine" instruments are the present-day legacy of the long Rickenbacker acoustic guitars tradition. They possess the identical construction and aesthetic detailing of the Rickenbacker acoustic guitars that Studio California built under license from 2006-2013, including the running improvements that were made during this time span. 

After the licensing period ended, I was given generous permission to continue to build the identical range of guitars under my own brand, "Madeleine Strings". Madeleine was my first granddaughter, who was born in 2011 with HLHS, and lived a short two months. For each Madeleine Strings instrument built, $250.00 is donated to an HLHS research program. Her sweet portrait is displayed as a tribute on each instrument's serial number label.
