GRETSCH PRO-JET IN BAMBOO YELLOW AND COPPER METALLIC
WITH UPGRADED FILTERTRON PICKUPS AND BAR BRIDGE
This was originally a special edition Pro Jet in Black, that we decided to re-do in Gresch's "Anniversary" Bamboo Yellow and Copper Metallic paint scheme, adding Filtertron pickups, a copper pick guard, and a machined-down bar bridge. It also features a banjo-type armrest and Bigsby vibrato unit.
The bottom photos show the restoration and conversion details. The original guitar had Filtertron pickups installed in openings that apparently had been hacked in the top with a big knife. These were routed out oversized, filled with Ren-Shape high density tooling plank, ad re-routed to exactly fit the Filtertrons. The body was primed, painted, and clear coated, as is Studio California's standard mode of operation.
