1961 COMBO 1000

This is an original 1961 short-scale Combo 1000 body that was given new life by Studio California by fitting it with some new parts and some of vintage provenance. A new fretboard was fitted to the original body, and a gold-painted acrylic pick guard was used instead of a gold-anodized aluminum or white plastic item. Toaster pickups are new, as is the control harness and adjustable 300-style bridge assembly. New vintage-style Kluson Deluxe tuning machines were installed. Bridge cover is a new item, and strap pegs are vintage Rickenbacker. 

Ah, that unusual nameplate! It's original to this body, in a style from 1961 and years prior, stamped from .010" aluminum, and hand-patinated by Studio California.
