WASHINGTON--1960 365 Capri in Air Force Blueburst
Having restored or refinished Capris of this prime vintage in every stock color, besides my own in Mink Burst and one in Isle of Capri Aquamarine, I set out to do something different in a cool color, and settled on this slightly-aged Deep Blueburst.
The pale amber tint of the center of the burst was deliberately calculated to relate to the gold guards and nameplate that this Capri vintage typically featured.
The hardware is stainless, nickel and chrome, and the deep brown Rogan "stove" knobs with gold-anodized diamond pointer inserts lend a European color flair to a sophisticated basic blue palette.
This guitar features an Accent vibrato, typical of the era, Kluson tuners, and a padauk fretboard with poured pearl fret markers. Toaster-style single coil pickups and four-pot harness complete the electronics.
