FENDER DUO-SONIC IN CUSTOM FIESTA RED

We've always had a soft spot for Fender's student short scale models like the Duo-Sonic. We bought our first Duo-Sonic in 1980 from a consignment dealer. It had been owned by Ry Cooder, and was only lightly modified (by Danny Ferrington, no less!) with a phase switch. It, like this instrument, was a slab-bodied 1959. When I restored this guitar, I elected to spray it in Fiesta Red instead of the original Dune Beige. Otherwise, It's dead stock except for the brass bridge saddles. A charming guitar, restored to a very high standard.
