HAWAII 1960 360 CAPRI

This photo series documents the reconstruction of a 1960 Capri using parts from 2 different instruments--the neck is from a '58--and a new, one-piece ash veneered plywood back. The unique burst finish is a very pale Aqua, shaded to a deeper blue with paua shell pearl added for a reflective violet tinge at the edges. The fretboard is padauk and the fret markers are crushed mother-of-pearl. Side dots are red celluloid, and gold pick guards and nameplate are fitted. The Rogan "oven" styled knobs are deep brown with brass diamond inserts. Most hardware, as well as the electronics, are of current vintage.
