RUBY DOUBLE-BOUND TWINS

The factory "Ruby" finish on these two double-bound 360 OSs (one from 1985 and one from 1991) were two different shades of Ruby. Additionally, both finishes had aged badly due to checking and buckle rash. An opportunity presented itself--to restore the bodies and fretboards to mint condition, and then to refinish the two instruments in the same striking shade of their original color--"Ruby". The12-string guitar was left unmodified, but the six-string received a bit of rework: The headstock was narrowed and shortened slightly for a more pleasing "vintage" proportion, and the Grover tuners were replaced with vintage-style Kluson Deluxe tuners. The results are shown in these photos.
