1975 MODEL 480 IN AQUAGLO

Rickenbacker's unusual mid-1970s bolt-neck solid body, brought into the present age with a new finish in Aquaglo single-color burst. The shading is very subtle, most obvious in the back view, but this color gives this model of guitar an entirely new visual aspect. (These were most often seen in Mapleglo, Jetglo, and Walnut burst colors--fairly pedestrian considering the outré body shape and flamboyant headstock. Most of these had huge and heavy Grover tuners, but this example is fitted with vintage nickel Klusons with butterbean buttons. All the hardware was replated and a new white acrylic pick guard was made in our workshop.
